Amazon.com Product Description Explore. Inform. Conquer. Featuring sporty style and a durable design, the Atomic Pathfinder is much more than a watch, it's an advanced tool for use in the great outdoors. This Amazon Exclusive is equipped with many high-tech sensors to help you observe nature and monitor its continuous changes.Atomic Timekeeping for Superb Accuracy The Pathfinder provides micro-second accuracy with multi-band atomic timekeeping that picks up a time calibration signal from anywhere in the world and updates the watch's settings automatically. The Pathfinder features five daily alarms, a countdown timer, and an hourly time signal. The world time function includes 29 time zones (30 cities), a city code display, and a daylight saving on/off function. The automatic calendar is pre-programmed to the year 2099. Tough Solar Power Eliminates Need for a Battery You'll never have to worry about changing the battery thanks to the Pathfinder's Tough Solar technology. The battery is automatically charged by light, both indoor and outdoor. The Pathfinder has a solar cell and a special rechargeable, secondary battery that is charged by the electrical power produced by the solar cell. The watch will perform for five months on a single full charge. Automatic Electro-Luminescent Display for Easy Viewing The watch's read-outs can be viewed in any light, thanks to the Pathfinder's automatic, EL (electro-luminescent), adjustable backlit digital display with afterglow. Two high-intensity LEDs make the face exceptionally bright, and an auto light means that when you tilt the Pathfinder toward your face, the LEDs automatically light up for nighttime viewing. Barometer, Altimeter, and Thermometer Readings With the Pathfinder's barometer, you can predict changing weather patterns as they occur around you. The barometer takes readings every two hours and stores them automatically, graphically displaying the barometric pressure from the past 26 hours. The display ranges from 260 to 1,100 hPa (7.65 to 32.45 inHg) with changeovers from hPa to inHg. The watch's altimeter can help you gauge the time you'll need to reach the summit. The altimeter checks and displays the altitude every two minutes and stores readings with the temperature every 15 minutes. The graphing function positions you with respect to your target altitude, while an alarm alerts you as you approach your mark. You can record up to 40 sets of data with each record, displaying the month, date, and time. The altimeter's measuring range is from -700 to 10,000 meters (-2,300 to 32,800 feet). The Pathfinder also features a built-in thermometer that displays and checks the temperature every five minutes. The display can be converted from Celsius to Fahrenheit and measures temperatures from -10 to 60 degrees C (14 to 140 degrees F). So whether you're hiking through the Grand Canyon or snowshoeing in the Rockies, the Pathfinder has you covered. Sporty, Durable Design This sports watch is durably designed with a stainless steel case, round black resin bezel, durable mineral crystal, and black resin band with a secure buckle clasp. Buttons flank the bezel and allow easy access to the watch's sensors. Yellow and white concentric stick indexes on the watch bezel indicate barometric pressure, receiving capability, battery power, and more. The black dial changes with each mode and provides easy-to-read recordings, including graphs and tables. This timepiece is powered by Japanese-quartz movement and is water-resistant to 330 feet (100 M).

Great-looking sturdy watch! September 16, 2009 Etienne Douaze (Quebec, Canada) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was looking for a sturdy, solar-powered, atomic-controlled watch with all the little gadgets I enjoy on a digital watch (stop-watch, alarm, 2nd time zone, countdown, temperature, compass, barometer, altimeter). This one does the trick. It is light and not too big on my mid-sized wrist.
The compass and the thermometer need to be calibrated to be accurate!
All in all, it's a great-looking watch!
Awesome looking and very functional watch March 28, 2010 John Tomasaitis 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This watch is really good looking and very functional. I purchased this watch for it's cool looks and for its functions while I am backpacking, hiking, climbing, etc.
Out of the box, the time was correct and the altimeter was within 15 feet of actual distance above sea level. Though I thought I would only be using the barometer function during backpacking trips, I find myself using it on a daily basis to help forecast the next few hours of weather.
The watch looks awesome when on a wrist too. It is a slightly larger face than most watches. It fits well on my small wrists with out looking too large. The reverse LCD on black is a very cool look. I wear this watch with casual wear all the way up to business wear.
I would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence about this watch. I have had it for a little over a month and wear it everyday and it has not began to wear or chip on the bezel.
Extremely useful timepiece July 25, 2010 David J. Paola (San Francisco, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this watch because I wanted two things: Atomic timekeeping and solar power. Both work wonderfully.
Additionally, the bi-hourly barometric reading has been more handy than I'd anticipated. I can see, without leaving the comfort of my bed, whether or not it's going to be a nice day by looking at my wristwatch. How awesome is that?
I've used the compass on several occasions while lost in the city (San Francisco). It works as you'd expect a compass to work.
The thermometer is always a bit high, which I suspect is due to it being pressed against my skin. Not sure how one would solve this problem, but I rarely use the thermometer and altimeter anyway. Perhaps if I were to go camping or hiking somewhere like Yosemite, it could be useful. We'll see.
Overall: This is an extremely useful watch. The alarms ring for 10 seconds, which is enough to wake me up. I only take the watch off to shower. It's size is perfect, and the face is huge and totally readable. I'd recommend this watch to anyone who wants a good, no-hassle atomic/solar watch.
Worried but Satisfied January 2, 2010 C. Barrera (Ontario, CA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Ive read the reviews about this watch being prone to paint chipping off. Eventhough Ive had it only for a couple weeks I have banged it against doors and walls with no paint chipping off or dings. If you think the watch looks great just seeing pictures, it looks even better in real life. I was amazed at how beautiful this watch looked when I opened the package. The sensors are accuarate but the watch must be removed from your wrist for 5 minutes to give an accurate temperature reading.

Heavily Researched August 11, 2010 R.D Kallies 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I spent the better part of 1 month researching all of the watches that fell into my specific requirements. Even at the time of ordering, I still had my doubts as to which model to order. So I took a leap and ordered the 1300Y Pathfinder... First Impression, it was a little smaller than I had guessed or thought from the pictures, fine by me as I was worried it would be a little big. Turns out, it was light, comfortable, and didn't feel like an anchor on my wrist. Next was set up and performance and it has performed flawlessly.. I have read every review I could find on all of the watches and this negatives on this one were the least critical in my opinion (not that I denounce any of the other users comments). The worst part of the setup was having to reference backwards and forwards in the manual but that can be eliminated by memorizing what buttons on the watch are A, B, C,D, and E..
The reports that the bezel loses color is not important to me since I bought this watch for tactical and recreational purposes. It is an everyday watch and I think that if you use a product, no matter how incredible it is, it will get the normal wear and tear look. If you want a dress watch, there is a whole section of watches for you to choose from. I own several all black watches and all of them show wear of color in one place or another.
The gadgets on the watch are surprisingly accurate but not without flaws, it is still a watch and it keeps time perfectly. If you intend on buying this watch to save your life lost in the woods after a plane crash, please carry a GPS in you pack and a standard old style compass,,, That is not what any of these watches are designed for. But, if you are planning on using it for recreation around your local State Park or in the urban jungle, it will work great to get you headed in the right direction. The barometer is a great function as it shows basic trends of weather to come, even if it is off a few Hg in. It still shows on the great little graph that the pressure is falling or rising and you need to take action. It is a barometer worn on your wrist and your body can alter the reading, not to mention altitude of your location.
The altimeter was only 4 ft off from what my GPS in my vehicle stated right out of the box. Good enough for me since I don't ever intend these readings to save my life... I took this watch up in a small aircraft and the Altimeter stayed within 20 ft +/- of the aircraft's static gauges.. There was a little time delay in climbing and descending but on level flight, it was pretty damn close.
I would recommend this watch to anyone and I have actually ordered a second on for the Mrs.. It is a versatile watch, good looks, functional gadgets, and would be great for anyone in an active lifestyle. If you are worried about the bezel rubbing off (which mine hasn't at all in hard use), or the sensory gauges being off a click or two, or what your friends will say when you show up to dinner in it, you shouldn't be looking at watches, the lingerie section is just a few pages over :-) It is an awesome WATCH with some really cool gadgets to suit an active lifestyle... Hope this helps...
